Midterms

In this blog I will talk about my first time having midterms. Last semester I did not have any midterms at all and now this year I have two. Yeah it seems like no big deal because it could be all of my classes but its only two. My first midterm was for my world civilizations class last week. It was kind of hard to prepare for because I don't really learn anything in that class and I hardly have any notes from that class. The professor that I have usually puts about 5-6 words per slide on her power point. She doesn't really go into details. I feel like she thinks that we should already know what she's teaching. This sucks because history is my favorite subject but I'm not learning anything, also because I know how I did on my midterm and I'm only being graded on the midterm, exam, and homework thats due every Friday. My second midterm which is this week is for my communication class. We have to watch Freedom Writers today and Wednesday. Then on Friday we have to answer questions. This sounds easy but I'm nervous because I have a project thats also due for this class where we have to record a commercial, do a powerpoint and a 3-5 page essay about our project which is due next Wednesday before spring break. I am beginning to feel over whelmed because of all the work I'm getting before spring break starts. I think this upcoming break is going to be much needed.

In this blog, I will be writing about studying. Throughout high school, I would hardly ever study. If i studied for tests, I would notice that my grades would be worse than the times that i didn’t study. So that’s why I would hardly every study. Now, in college it's so much different. 1st semester.....

As the semester is coming closer to an end, I have sort of been getting the hang of school now. Recently I've been trying to focus more on school so I can have a distraction because if I don't have a distraction I start feeling sad. These mood swings have been causing me to want to get my act straight and focus more on my education and less about relationship and other things that are unnecessary at the moment. I feel like my happiness and education should come first. Today I have finished four assignments including this one. I like being kept busy. Unfortunately if I work on too much I start getting anxiety because my brain cannot process so much information from so many subjects at the same time anymore. To kill more time and to keep me even more busy I am planning to start going to the gym again and keep it up. Struggles of being in groups

In one of my classes my professor put us into groups with other students that they think we will work good with. We've had the same group since the beginning of the semester. The first project went well. I wasn't worried about whether or not we would finish it on time. We communicated very well and aced the project and presentation. Unfortunately I feel like our communication has gone down the drain for this new project. Our project is due Friday and we still have to finish our ten page research essay, powerpoint, printing out all the pages and putting it into our book and preparing for our presentation thats on Monday. Im nervous because theres so much to do and I don't know if we'll be able to finish it on time. I try to be the one to remind them without being THAT person who bothers everyone but its a group grade so if they fail then I fail. I can't let that happen.
